Brendan CLARKE-SMITH MP has welcomed the new Chancellor Rishi Sunak's first Budget.
Several of the campaigns Mr CLARKE-SMITH joined, and wrote to the Chancellor about, have succeeded.
These include:
Freezing alcohol duty, which will support communities as well as the pubs sector.
Freezing fuel duty, which will benefit car-reliant travellers, as so many in Bassetlaw are.
Scrapping the 'reading tax', or VAT on E-books, to promote literacy and support the online publishing sector.
These are just a few of the highlights from the Budget.
