As your Member of Parliament, I have been made aware that a developer has submitted plans to Bassetlaw District Council for permission to demolish No. 50 Bridgegate and surrounding industrial buildings in order to build two drive-thru restaurants with access from Amcott Way, with further permission to build 9 dwellings and 8 apartments.

The comments I have so far received have raised concerns about the potential impacts the proposed new drive-thru restaurants will have both on the town centre and surrounding community in Retford. That is why I would like to get Retford residents' views on the application and what they think so that I can best represent the entire community.
