The Grants Scheme is funded by the Speaker’s Art Fund to contribute to delivering local constituency arts and educational projects with a focus on increasing the understanding of Parliamentary democracy across the UK. The Art Fund isn’t funded through the taxpayer but through income from the sales of Christmas cards and tours of Speaker’s House.
This initiative will offer an opportunity for constituents to bid for £500 to deliver their projects. The first round of applications is open from today until 12 January. Only one entry from each constituency can be considered, and it will include a letter of recommendation from myself

“Development of an educational tool including a visual timeline around how LGBQT+ rights have changed over the past 70 years. The artwork will depict information around the lives of LGBTQ+ people. We will work with schools including personal pictures, stories and art to demonstrate how things have moved on in our country”.
