Last week, Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner Caroline Henry and I met with Inspector Simon Riley and Constable Tom Hill from the Police Federation to discuss issues around recruitment and retention of officers and what we can do to better support them.
I am also outraged at some of the soft sentences handed out recently to those who assault and abuse our abuse our emergency workers, including the Police, and I will be pushing to make sure there is absolutely zero tolerance of this behaviour.
