Today I spoke about the challenges of creating affordable housing for the next generation of homeowners and their families.
Schemes such as shared ownership, Help to Buy and the new 95% mortgages will help a great deal towards people realising their dreams of getting on to the property ladder.
I also raised the issue of overdevelopment and that we must have the right developments in the right places. Communities must have a greater say over what is built and we must avoid endless appeals from developers when plans are rejected as unsuitable.
